Butterflies & Friends is a community service initiative created by
The Rotary Club of Colorado Springs to raise awareness and funds to serve children and
promote the arts in schools. Participating artists will contribute to making dreams real by transforming large-scale metal butterfly "templates" into works of art.
In the first three years we have raised over $100,000 in funds
to develop and support arts education in District Eleven schools.

We are currently preparing for our FOURTH event.

CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR CHOSEN ARTISTS!
Check out our ARTISTS page to see our artists and their butterflies.

The funds that we raise will be used to provide community-building arts programs in
schools that are facing major transitions and changes.
These children are all our children and need to see that we care.
With all of the economic challenges that families are facing,
the "butterfly" is an excellent metaphor.

Each transformed butterfly sculpture will be auctioned off at our
celebration to help provide arts education in targeted schools and assist the
Rotary Community Service Fund in contributing to many wonderful causes in
Colorado Springs. Everyone will have a chance to provide a permanent shelter
for these evocative beauties at their own home or business.
Help us to promote a "healthy cocoon for every child" and encourage a creative metamorphosis into all that each can be!
